A downloadable game for Windows and Linux

After his father's reign was ended with an act of rebellion, a banished prince with an oath to never speak again until he reclaims his throne, stumbles upon the house of an ancient wizard.

This is a fantasy adventure/platforming game with PSX aesthetics.

X: Pause

Z: Unpause

I've done all of the programming except for the portal "view", which I owe to Sebastian Lague on Youtube. But the actual teleportation is mine,  which is a little bit janky but I'll improve on it if I do a full game. I can commit to a multiple hour long full game if there is any demand for it. I've also done all of the modelling/texturing etc. Here are the artists on FreeSound whose work I've used:

martats, innorecords, klankbeeld, szegvari, BloodPixelHero, platmonkey, tairaKomori, yap, brendan89, fission9, drowsyprincess, sturmankin, samulis, donkeyjohn, albasty.

Intro music taken from Andrew Isais' Warped Fantasy Music Pack.

Played your Linux version - thanks for making that - but dont know how to get a menu? I tried escape, but nothing.

Oh dang - I see above now that it says 'x to pause and z unpause'

haha yep! I had no means of testing the Linux version unfortunately, but I hope you enjoyed it! It's pretty short but, I tried to show a little bit of every mechanic that I built for the game so far.

good

thank you for playing! was it lagging in your computer or was it just because of the video?

Is there any chance we'd see a Linux version?

never done it before, but I’ll look into how to do that ASAP, stay tuned!

Apparently this is a lot harder than it needs to be haha. I'll try to release the full version of the demo in both Windows and Linux (and Mac) in 2 weeks! It will be an a lot more satisfying experience with more platforming sequences and puzzles!

Hey, full demo released! I also added a Linux version, but obviously i couldn't test it. I hope you have fun!
